A captive eagle was said to have been kept in the hotel for some time initially.
In the years 1930-1932 Francesco Curtaz's granddaughter, Mrs. Emilia Curtaz, made a first expansion to the west of the hotel, and shortly afterwards the south terrace.
The last extension to the west was built in the years 1954-1956 by Emilia Curtaz and her husband Giuseppe Pirro.
In 1998 it was purchased by the Vicquery family and completely renovated in 2006 to bring it to today's Residence
