Positive: Miyako Island was my favourite in Okinawa. I also visited Naha and close beaches subsequently. I stayed at M-Villaggio for 5 nights in September 2025. Communication was efficient and accessible albeit virtually. The room and building was relatively modern and well maintained. Carparking was available at no extra cost which was important as I had a rental car. The apartment was well appointed, maintained and clean apart from my following comments about the kitchen. The kitchen, whilst well appointed were not cleaned thoroughly including the cookware and crockery, as I have experienced in similar accommodation in Japan, and other countries. As the island is relatively small, by car, most places are easily accessible. I visited Sunayama Beach several times which is close by vehicle. The supermarket is close by vehicle, or about 30 minutes walk one way. Note my apartment was on the top (3rd?) floor; climbing the stairs may be an issue for others, but not for me.

Negative: The parking allocation was not clear, so I had to communicate with the property to ensure I was parked in the correct place rather than assume correct parking. Note above comments about cleanliness and condition of kitchen and equipment. Note the 'centre/main town' of Miyako is not in my view worth visiting; it is best to search on Google and Tabelog for good places and travel to them. Arrive early for popular beaches and diving areas as carparking can be limited. In a few places parking is paid for.

Summary: Pleasant. Would recommend, but poor parking communication and kitchen condition.
