Just outside historic Pistoia, in one of the most beautiful valleys, set as a pearl among the Tuscan hills, stands Dimora La Torre di Bussotto. The mild climate of this area renders the surrounding vegetation abundant and lush with typical Tuscan trees such as oaks, holm oaks, cypresses and chestnuts. Typical Mediterranean vegetation cloaks the surrounding slopes which, from the stream Bure, climb up to the peaks from where the panorama opens out over the plain which extends from Florence toward Pistoia This prestigious residence, built on the ruins of the 16th century church of Spannarecchio, still recalls the past with the characteristic belfry constructed with sandstone blocks that towers above, as guardian of your holiday. The recent renovation combines the typical stone-cladded exterior, in use in the 16th century, with sophisticated décor without neglecting the details of Tuscan tradition such as sandstone, terracotta and ceilings with wooden beams and terracotta tiles, providing those who stay here with unique emotions. On arrival, a typical Tuscan driveway made with river stones will accompany you to the yard in front of the entrance next to the bell tower. The property, on three floors, consists of a living area, a fully-equipped kitchen and air-conditioned bedrooms. Completeing this is a well-kept garden full of typical plants, featuring a characteristic barbecue area in stone and an old pizza oven next to the gazebo. The welcoming pool area is surrounded by olive and cypress trees, herbs and various flower beds, creating a unique relaxation area where you can relax on sunbeds and deckchairs. This secluded residence is just a few minutes from Pistoia with one of the most beautiful historic town centres in Tuscany and where, on summer evenings, typical restaurants set up their tables in the most characteristic old squares and streets of the town. The proximity to the motorway gives guests the opportunity of making excursions to the most famous places in Tuscany such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Montecatini Terme and the entire Tyrrhenian coast of Versilia without forgetting nearby Vinci, birthplace of the great Leonardo, and Torre del Lago, summer residence of the maestro Giacomo Puccini. Along the pictoresque routes of the “Strada dell'Olio e del Vino delle Colline del Montalbano”, you will be able to visit numerous farms where you can taste excellent wines and sample the typical gourmet food products of the area, like the famous brigidini of Lamporecchio.
Interior:
The house has three floors connected by an internal stone staircase that goes up to the top of the bell tower. The main entrance on the ground floor enters the dining room that is next to a charming tea room and to the TV room. Up two steps you find the kitchen which has a big table also for dining and communicates with the laundry room, a bathroom with hydromassage shower. Up a further two steps to a double bedroom with direct outside access through a Frenchwindow (with bathroom en suite from 2022). The stone staircase leads up to the first floor with a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a triple bedroom with single beds and a double bedroom sharing a bathroom with tub. The top floor, reached up the last flight of stairs, consists of a double bedroom and the final part of the bell tower inside which there is an en suite bathroom from 2022.

Park:
This old-world home has large outdoor spaces, alternating green areas with those in Tuscan stone. Under a cool portico is the outdoor dining area with stone barbecue and a relaxation area offering a beautiful view of the pool. Next to the bell tower, in the lawn area, is a gazebo with a small table and the old pizza oven in the bell tower. Not far from the villa is the large parking area. In the more secluded area of the property is the park with manicured lawn embellished by olive, cypress and fruit trees and various herbs, surrounded by colourful flowers that frame the splendid pool where guests can relax in peace. Within the garden are many creations in sandstone and it will seem as if you were strolling in an open-air museum; there are also many nooks and crannies where you can just relax, read a book or sip one of the many DOC wines of the area.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
Situated between the garden and the house, like a pearl, is the splendid rectangular swimming pool surrounded by a solarium in travertine, equipped with sunbeds for guests to pass unforgettable moments enjoying the particular location and scents only to be found inTuscany. The swimming pool measures 6 x12 m with the depth varying from 1.50 to 2.50 m. At the rounded edge are Roman steps leading into the water and a hydromassage corner; the pool is lined in PVC, with chlorine purification and remote-controlled internal lighting with a multicoloured effect. Near the pool is a convenient outdoor hot-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.
