Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The property comprises a front and rear garden, with beautiful views of the sea, Taormina and Etna Mountain. The house is roomy, clean, we found a Xmas tree, the kitchen is well equipped. The management did the best they could, considering the circumstances. The prices was reasonable, all in all, good value for money.

Negative: The front terrace is 250mt from the High Way, luckily 40mt above it too. The High Way noise is just noticeable at night when you close the doors, but it spoils the beauty of the landscape when outside. There are 2 bedrooms (not 3), the third bed is sheltered by a 90cm wall (clearly visible in the images), has only one bedside table but no plugs for the single bedside lamp provided. As a consequence, when we had to switch off the main light, we had to use our iPhone torches to reach out the bed. This has been unpleasant and risky: there are trip hazards on the way. We had to be creative with the wardrobe too. the rear garden is neglected, specially around the lodge. the plugs around the house are insufficient there are only child hangers in the guardrobes in one toilet, the shower head was stucked with limescale and I had to replace the shower head (provided by the management) and the WC was leaking at each flush We found a small country mouse in the laundry, next to the kitchen. You are in a country house, after all.
