Positive: We recently stayed at Villa Branco in Taormina, Sicily, and had a mixed experience. Emanuele, who took care of us during our stay, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and we’re really grateful for that. The location of the villa is truly fantastic—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful views. The pool was also a lovely feature and definitely a highlight of the property. However, the apartment itself could use some attention. The layout felt awkward and oddly distributed, which made it less functional. There were barely any power outlets, which made it difficult to charge devices or use appliances. The kitchen was very under-equipped, lacking even basic items, which made cooking at home quite inconvenient. The internet was also not working during our stay, so we had to rely on our mobile data, which was a bit frustrating. Additionally, there was no heating in the apartment. Emiliano kindly brought us electric heaters, but unfortunately they weren’t powerful enough to warm the entire space, especially during colder nights. All in all, while the surroundings are beautiful and Emiliano’s hospitality was exceptional, the apartment itself needs some love and practical improvements to justify its price. At the moment, it’s not quite good value for money.
