Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The room going out to the pool was great. The breakfast was exceptionally tasty. The dinner was also well prepared and we enjoyed it. The staff at the lodge were friendly and helpful. We went for our 33 yrs wedding anniversary and felt at home. Jack did a lot of effort with setting up a picnic table at the dam.

Negative: The game drive was not so great. We did not see a lot of game - only rooibokke, wilde beast and a few giraffes. The guide was young and inexperienced. It also felt like he was in a hurry to get the game drive over with. Said as much to someone else - he wanted to be back at 17:00. We did enjoy the picnic table, champagne and platter, but felt in a hurry. Would have been nice to see more game and to enjoy the sunset at the dam.

Summary: It was nice and comfortable.
