Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I liked that it was clean, had a check out time of noon (most places in Italy are around ten or ten thirty), and had a decent free breakfast, pleasant staff, ok restaurant for dinner. And it was relatively affordable for Florence.

Negative: My only complaint, which is my own fault for not researching it better, is that it is far from everything. You either have to take a taxi or walk about fifteen minutes to the tram to get anywhere, including restaurants. I suppose that makes it a good hotel for drivers, lots of parking, a la American lifestyles. Less good for walkers. The rooms were standard hotel, not charming. Which I didn't mind. But if you are looking to be blown away by the scent of flowers in the air or Tuscan living, this is not it.
