Positive: A beautiful and spacious apartment with outstanding views over the sea and some of the neighbouring islands (a sea-facing apartment is a real plus in this location). Giovanna was very helpful and flexible and determined to ensure that we had a great stay. She is clearly someone who cares about her guests. Acquacalda is a great location if you are after a beautiful and tranquil spot for a restful holiday.

Negative: There are not really negatives but things to be aware of: 1) the beach in Acquacalda is made of large pebbles/rocks and it can be rather difficult to enter the sea when it is a little rough. Not an issue for us but it could be for a family with young children; 2) Also, transport options are somewhat limited and there is not an awful lot in Acquacalda (although there are a couple of restaurants), so having a means of transport (rental car or scooter) would be advisable.
