Summary: Firstly, this is a very nice hotel. The Hotel itself is at least 4-5 stars - rooms are great for families, front desk very helpful and modern clean. BUT the location is awful. It is on the wrong side of the tracks in Ikebukuro (a long walk to all the good shops) and even worse to get to the station you have to walk through Tokyo’s second largest red light district. It so seedy/full of drunk people I didn’t want my family to walk through there at night so got a taxi. If you want to stay in Ikebukuro stay on the east side of the station. A strange place to have a family friendly hotel.
