Another flight of stone steps leads up to the first floor and four of the bedrooms, each so large it would be called a master in most villas, and three luxurious bathrooms, two en-suite and two with freestanding rolltop bathtubs.

Beyond the villa gates, there is much to explore. Head east to the vineyards of Chianti Classico and west to the coast. Go north to see the ancient town of San Gimignano and, a little further, the sights of Florence or south to stroll the streets of beautiful Siena.
