Positive: The room was lovely. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was nice.

Negative: I had asked for early check-in because we wanted to check in before a wedding in Elora. I called the number given as noted on the morning to confirm but it went to an individual’s voicemail 1-519-829-5745. I then was contacted by the hotel and asked what time we would be there and I said 12:30pm. A male called back from the voicemail then, and I told him the hotel already called and asked when we are arriving. I told him 12:30pm and he said “that’s interesting” and said he would call me back, which he didn’t. Then we were delayed, so I called the hotel and said that we wouldn’t be there until 1:00pm. And they said they would put that in the notes. Bottom line, when we got there, the room was not ready. We were told it was sold out the night before, and checkout was noon, so they couldn’t have it ready. The senior staff was very good, and reassured us and got it ready by 1:30pm. However, we were hoping to leave by 1:30pm to find parking and get to the wedding ceremony in Elora well before 2:30pm. I wish they would have told us in the morning the 3 times we were in touch that it wasn’t possible to get the room ready early. We would have got dressed at home if we’d known. My daughter dropped me off at the wedding ceremony, and by the time she found parking, she missed most of the ceremony. It was disappointing. And there were broken chips on the pull out bed’s sheets. We replaced the sheets with the second beds sheets. We understand that we were rushing them to clean the room. Just wanted to point it out though. And I thought from talking to the reception that the tuck store was open all the time, but when we arrived back after the wedding at 12:30pm no one was around.

Summary: Disappointing, but a lovely room and good location.
