Casale Vite is a renovated, early 20th century barn. It is a cozy and welcoming little corner in exposed-stone, with air-conditioning and practical and functional decor that optimizes the indoor areas, suitable for small families and couples. It is surrounded by a garden with a large green lawn and with lots of seating areas where guests can appreciate the quiet and privacy that the extended property guarantees. Located in the Valdarno area, between the ridge of the Pratomagno and the nearby region of Chianti, halfway between Florence and Arezzo and just a few kilometres from the Autostrada del Sole, the property is set in the environmental context of the so-called balze (crags), rock erosions that design a landscape among the most charming and seductive of the valley. From the road of the Setteponti, an old route between Arezzo and Vallombrosa, along which the property is located, run numerous CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) trails along which you can explore on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike the whole area of the balze, dotted with rural buildings and Romanesque churches. Two kilometres away is the village of San Giustino Valdarno, a useful reference for daily shopping. A few minutes drive will take you to the most interesting tourist destinations (Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Chianti), to a tennis court (Montevarchi, 14 km), a golf course (about 4 km) and a riding club (Terranuova Bracciolini, 7 km) for a holiday dedicated to relaxation, hiking in nature and exploring the many artistic treasures which abound in this area.
INTERIOR
The house has two floors. From the pergola you go into an open-plan kitchen and dining/living area. On the ground floor is a double bedroom (with dividable bed) with en-suite bathroom with shower and a French window leading out to a pergola set up with two armchairs. A spiral staircase leads up to the top floor (accessible also from an external staircase) with a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
THE PARK
The property stands within a fenced-in park of about 1000 sq m, mainly lawn and surrounded by hedges, beyond which are the grounds of the estate with newly planted vineyards. The garden has a terraced surface, with the pool area on the lower level. Outside the house is a pergola with sofa and armchairs and an umbrella shading the dining area. Nearby is a brick-built structure with wood oven, barbecue and sink, a sandbox for children's play and a corner planted with aromatic herbs. There are two parking spaces just past the front gate and just a few steps from the house.
SWIMMING POOL
Open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, the pool lies in the centre of a large fenced-in area of lawn and is reached from the house down a flight of steps. The rectangular pool measures 7 x 3 m with a constant depth of 1,40 m; it is lined in PVC with a terracotta border; it has a metal ladder for access to the water, chlorine purification, internal lighting and a solar shower. Around the pool are sunbeds, small tables and an umbrella.
