Summary: This was our first experience with Vrbo. Our impressions from the ad was a location in view of the canal and a full laundry. What we got was a place on a narrow street and a washer but no dryer. Mostly this is a communication issue and our unfamiliarity with typical units in Europe. 1. We didn’t have instructions for the washer and everything is in Portuguese so it took YouTube and Google translate to figure it out 2. We found the drying rack which we set upon the living room but we didn’t know how to operate the HVAC unit to help get the clothing dry. 3. Appliances in the kitchen like the hot water kettle didn’t work 4. The bed and couch had an odor that was unpleasant, maybe the disinfectant used by the cleaning crew If this is intended for English speakers then an English handbook would help.
