Positive: Last week Annalize and I stayed at Arum Hill Lodge, and from the moment we arrived we felt completely at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere that set the tone for our entire stay. There is so much to enjoy on the property itself. We especially loved the pool table, spent leisurely afternoons playing rummy on the patio, and had a braai on two of the three nights we stayed there. Everything felt unhurried, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for guests to truly unwind. Our original plan was to explore the Midlands Meander every day, but the lodge turned out to be so peaceful and restorative that we hardly wanted to leave. In the end, we only ventured out to get supplies for the evening braai and spent the rest of our days simply relaxing and soaking in the tranquillity of the property. If you’re looking for a place that feels welcoming, calm, and effortlessly relaxing—whether for a short break or a longer stay—Arum Hill Lodge is a gem we would wholeheartedly recommend.
