Positive: We had an incredible time staying here, and Fumika was the most wonderful host. It’s a gorgeous building with stunning architecture, beautiful views over the mountain, with a great shared living space as well as very tasteful bedrooms - I would say that it is perfect for a family. The wood fired stove in the living room is nice and toasty, and the breakfasts that Fumika makes are legendary - you won’t go hungry. Also, do ask her for recommendations on food as well as things to do in the local area - we went to two recommendations for dinner and both were delicious. We wish we could spend more time in Aso and in this beautiful house, so we will be back!
